I’ve been a health and fitness coach for over 10 years, obtaining my certification in Canada in 2006. Up until then you could say I was a bit of a gypsy. By the time I graduated high school I had been to at least 16 schools (that I can name). My mother had 4 of us on her own and was always looking for a fresh start. We finally settled in British Columbia and it gave us a chance to grow some roots.
After graduation, I obtained my Diploma in Broadcasting and Media and worked in the film industry until the unhealthy lifestyle caught up with me and I suffered a herniated disc (zero back pain now thanks to proper form and technique). Next career was in Real Estate but it didn’t keep me stimulated or challenged. It was actually the owner of my home gym that changed my life. (Thanks Mike!) He asked me to become a personal trainer and was very supportive. During the first day of class I knew this was the career for me. The balance of working with people (love people) and continually studying science (love science) has kept me driven & stimulated for over a decade. Best decision I ever made!
